Why we ship our own apps before we pitch yours

Every agency's website says the same three things: we're passionate, we're experienced, we deliver. None of it is checkable. So when we started Airus Solutions, we decided our pitch would be something you can download.

Nine apps, live today, on the App Store and Google Play: a flight tracker, a weather app, an AI calorie tracker, adaptive flashcards, a fitness app for Apple Watch, a live conversation coach, a private AI stylist, a deliberately finite to-do list and a calm color-sorting puzzle. Every one designed, engineered, submitted, rejected, resubmitted, approved and updated by the same small team — with our own money on the line.

Shipping teaches what pitching can't

Building your own products changes how you build for clients, because you've paid for your own mistakes:

• Scope is a survival skill. When the budget is yours, you learn ruthlessly what a v1 needs and what it doesn't. That instinct is the first thing we bring to a client project.
• App Review is a known quantity. We've been through Apple's review process across nine apps and two stores. We design for the guidelines from day one, so launch week is boring — the good kind of boring.
• Retention is designed, not wished for. A store listing gets the install; the first ten seconds get the second open. We obsess over that window in our own apps because we watch the analytics that follow.
• Maintenance is real life. OS updates, API changes, one-star reviews at 2am — we live with our apps after launch, so we architect yours to be lived with.

Our portfolio is our résumé — not screenshots of work we did for someone else, but products we bet on ourselves.
